Petie is sired by seventeen-time Best in Show winner, Ch. Rose Croft Best Foot Forward, and he displays the showmanship of his dad. Petie
quickly finished his championship, and during that run he accumulated
multiple sweepstakes wins and a CTCA goblet for a 5-point major at
the Denver Cairn Specialty. While still a youngster, Petie was owner
handled to a Best of Breed win at the 2001 Florida specialty. He completed
his Canadian Championship in one weekend by winning a 5-point win
at the Canadian Cairn Specialty held in British Columbia. He has received
an Award of Merit at Westminster and at many specialty shows, including
the CTCA National Specialties at Montgomery County and the Roving
National. In
2003, Petie won Best of Breed at The Trinity Valley Cairn Terrier
Specialty over an entry of forty-six Cairns from around the country
. He followed up that win with a Terrier Group 2 besting the Number
1 Terrier in the country on the same weekend. Petie is blessed with superb balance, a profuse hard coat, and lovely dark hazel eyes with exquisite black pigment. Petie also displays that sly, mischievous, "sought after" Cairn temperament we breed for. He is co-owned with Frederick Altice, M.D., of New Haven, CT and was bred by Jerrie Wolfe and Teddie Wilson. |
