What a terrific website. I love the 'Ashwood' graphic and colours, its very attractive ..... but then there's the content!!
From far away in Australia, its so nice to see where other cairn afficionados live and bring up their cairns. You have such a gorgeous garden! I'm interested to see a couple of images of your dogs in very heavy and long coat - it would seem to be quite cold! My favourite image is that of the woofer, perhaps standing on a rock, stretched across with front paws on the top rail of the picket fence - getting a view. Cairns do like being able to see what's going on!

Hi Joe, your site looks really nice! Alex is good, we love him very much. This summer he learned to swim and if you didn't keep a close eye on him, he'd run down and jump in the lake. Hello, Yesterday was the first time I seen one of these beautiful dogs. I am located in the lower Adirondaks..I also would like some information on these dogs. I always had big dogs and right now my beloved Yellow Lab is getting on in years..so someday we will be getting another dog..this time a smaller dog..our dogs have always been like our children.Our interest in a Carin would not have to be show. I am almost always by myself and sometimes feel uncomfortable when a single man is in the car alone with me. My Cairn's name is Bailey. He is mister independence.I really love this little guy. He is so different than my big dogs were. He can adapt to most things and is very inquisitive. He is a bit large for the breed but my vet says he is larger boned. I don't know if this has to do with his father coming from Ireland or not. His temperment is great except for large dogs (I think he believes he is as big as they are). Your website is great. Thanks for the visit.

Enjoyed your photo album so much. How many pets do you have? Do you recommend having more than one at a home? I always felt they were more satisfied with compahionship while we had to be away.
We lost our adopted Cairn to old age and are now looking for another to love. It was our first encounter with Cairns and we were smittened. We live in the woods and Jamie was great at keeping the squirrels off the bird feeders and the deer out of my flower beds. Now squirrels are everywhere and the deer are enjoying my hostas,lilies, etc.

Loved the pictures of your Cairns. What great looking animals they are. My girlfriend just got a Cairn and what a cutie she is. We currently have an Airdale and two cats but I would love to have a littler dog to love on. It's good to be able to look through all these lovely sites. There's nothing better than puppy breath. I just wish that people thought through more thoroughly the responsibility of bringing an animal into their homes. Most don't realize that it should be a lifetime committment. The holidays bring lots of new puppies and kittens into homes and it doesn't take long for their cuteness to wear off. It breaks my heart to see them end up on the street or in the pound.
